Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 2026
These terms and conditions govern the supply of goods by Windows 4 U Scotland ("we", "us", "our") to trade customers ("you", "your"). By placing an order with us you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before ordering.
1. Our business
Windows 4 U Scotland is a trade supplier of windows, doors, roofing systems and associated products operating across Scotland. We supply to trade customers only. All orders are subject to these terms unless otherwise agreed in writing.

2. Orders and acceptance
All orders are subject to acceptance by us. An order is not accepted until we have issued written confirmation. We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
It is your responsibility to check all order details — including sizes, specifications, colours and quantities — before confirming. We cannot accept responsibility for errors arising from incorrect information provided by you.
3. Pricing and payment
All prices are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. VAT will be charged at the prevailing rate at the time of invoice. We reserve the right to adjust prices to reflect changes in material costs, exchange rates or supplier pricing without prior notice.
Payment terms are as agreed at the time of account setup or as stated on the invoice. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue invoices at 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
4. Bespoke and made-to-measure goods
The majority of our products are manufactured to your specific measurements and requirements. Once an order for bespoke goods has been confirmed and placed into production, it cannot be cancelled or amended. No refund or credit will be issued for bespoke goods unless they are found to be defective.
5. Delivery
Delivery dates provided are estimates only and are not guaranteed. We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from delayed delivery. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. You must inspect all goods on delivery and report any visible damage or shortage to us in writing within 48 hours of receipt.
Delivery is to the kerbside unless otherwise agreed. It is your responsibility to ensure adequate access and personnel are available to receive and handle goods safely.
6. Title and ownership
Title to the goods remains with us until payment in full has been received. Until title passes, you must store the goods separately, keep them identifiable as our property, and not dispose of or encumber them. We reserve the right to recover goods where payment has not been made.
7. Defects and returns
We warrant that goods will be free from material defects at the time of delivery. Claims for defective goods must be made in writing within 7 days of delivery, with supporting photographs. We will not accept returns without prior written authorisation.
Our liability for defective goods is limited to repair, replacement or credit at our discretion. We will not be liable for the cost of installation, removal or consequential losses arising from defective goods.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in connection with any order shall not exceed the value of that order. We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, special or economic loss including loss of profit, loss of contract or loss of business opportunity.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
9. Installation and use
We supply goods only. Installation is the sole responsibility of you or your appointed contractor. All products must be installed in accordance with the relevant manufacturer guidelines, current Building Regulations and applicable British Standards. We accept no liability for damage or failure arising from incorrect installation or misuse.
10. Force majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, fire, flood, industrial action, supplier failure, or government restrictions.
11. Website use
This website is provided for information purposes only. Product images, specifications and brochures are supplied by manufacturers and are subject to change without notice. Nothing on this website constitutes a binding offer or guarantee of availability. You must not use this website for any unlawful purpose or in a way that infringes the rights of others.
12. Intellectual property
All content on this website — including text, images, logos and brochures — is the property of Windows 4 U Scotland or its suppliers and is protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute or use any content without our prior written consent.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes arising from these terms or any order placed with us shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
14. Changes to these terms
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. The current version will always be available on this page. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
